Things I’m Loving – New Year Edition

Well friends, it’s already February.  Every month seems to go by quicker and quicker!  I am feeling like I am still in “new year” mode, trying to get my bearings down and get organized with everything.
I have a lot of hopes and expectations for the new year, but my big-picture resolutions are to get more organized in my house (I’m talking freaky organized – labels on everything), work out at least 3 days a week, focus on the positive in every thing (even the bad things), and take more time for leisure.  I have a few favorites this month that are helping some of my resolutions come true, so here they are…

2015 Desk Diary Planner – c/o
I do use my phone for a lot of things, but I like to have an actual calendar that I can write things in.  I find that I look at my events for the month more regularly and keep them more front of mind.  This particular datebook is the best I’ve had.  It’s leather bound so it’s extremely sturdy and won’t get ruffled as the year goes on.  (My datebooks are usually thrashed by the end of the year).  You can get it personalized with your initials, and the fore edge is gold and really glamorous.
Besides being amazing quality, this datebook has every piece of information you might ever need – maps, area codes (for those random numbers you don’t recognize), toll free numbers for airlines, hotels, etc., and more.  It is almost 50% off right now if you haven’t got a planner yet and I highly recommend it!
hum cleanse to the rescue review
I always feel the need to detox & cleanse at the beginning of the year.  To be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect with these because there are 4 pills you have to take a day.  I hate taking pills but I found that it was totally worth it for the results.  I am still doing the cleanse right now so I will be sure to let you guys know my results.  The pills are made up of herbs and things like green algae, ginger, and peppermint.  So far I notice a huge difference in my bloating and digestion.  If you know you’re going to be in a swimsuit in the next month or so, this would be the perfect preperation.

Fresh Flowers
I am becoming addicted to having fresh flowers in our living room.  There is something about them that really brings life and coziness to a home.  I found these pretty little tulips at the grocery store for $3 believe it or not!  They were on the manager’s clearance because they were starting to wilt a bit – although I have a remedy for that.  If you see your flowers starting to brown or wilt, change the water to fresh water, cut the bottom of the stem at a diagonal, and cut about half an inch up vertically into the stem.  It should make your flowers last twice as long – it always works for me.
jaclyn hill morphe palette review
I have a make-up addiction and I just can’t shake it!  I’ve been gravitating towards amping up my palette collection lately since I think you get the best bang for your buck that way.  The above three are the three palettes I am using interchangeably every single day.  The contour palette is something I wish I purchased ages ago.  If you love contouring, you need this palette.  The colors are so natural and blendable, and I use the Banana shade (top middle) every day to set my under eye concealer (nothing compares). The Morphe palette is limited edition unfortunately but I am hoping they come out with another round so I have linked the website anyway.  The Too Faced Semi-Sweet palette will make all your neutral eyeshadow dreams come true.  I find myself reaching for this palette almost every day because it has the perfect amount of natural nudes for everyday wear.
What are you guys loving lately?
