Collared Top: Lookbook Store c/o  |  Jeans: Old (love these)  |  Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim  |  Shoes: JustFab (similar)  |  Bangles: BaubleBar  |  Earrings: (obsessed with this similar version)  |  Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o

I know we all have those days where all we want to do is throw on a t-shirt and be done with it.  This shirt is so perfect for those days where you want to feel relaxed and comfortable, but still need to be presentable.

I've been taking classes to get a certification for my career, which is a lot while working full time as well.  My sleep cycle is not on the regular schedule it's used to, so I find when I wake up I still want something that feels soft like pajamas, but is obviously office appropriate.  This top is perfect for that, and it's extremely affordable.

I hope you guys are having a great week, and thank you, as always for reading!

Casual Pinstripes

Top: boohoo c/o  |  Jeans: Forever21 (sold out - similar)  |  Bag: Alexander Wang  |  Shoes: Steve Madden  |  Earrings: Tory Burch

I've got an off-the-shoulder top addiction lately and this pinstripe version is no exception.  I love that the silhouette is modern and unique, but the print is classic with pinstripes.

I'm also wearing flats - how rare!  I actually almost never wear flats in everyday life, unless I'm running errands.  If you do catch me in flats, they will almost always be some form of pointed toe shoe.  I love the look of loafers and I can't tell you how many I bought and returned before finding this Steve Madden pair.  All of the previous loafers I tried were stiff and going to be impossible to break in.  These are so soft and comfortable, I find myself reaching for them all the time.  They were actually a spur of the moment purchase while I was at the mall recently - I looked down at my favorite pointed toe bow flats (seen here) and realized they had holes in the soles!  I literally wore them any time I needed to wear flats because they went with everything and were comfy.  I was so happy to find a replacement pair that are just as fabulous.

Mermaid Wave Hair Tutorial

I finally got around to filming my mermaid wave hair tutorial!  I posted a picture on instagram awhile ago and a few of you said you would like to see a video for it.  My hair used to hold curl really well but lately it takes a lot of extra TLC and tips & tricks to keep up with my over 8 hour days.

Do you guys have any tips and tricks for long lasting curls or waves?  I would love to hear them as I'm always trying new things with my hair.

I hope you guys have a fantastic day, and thanks for watching!

P.S. I completely forgot to mention I was named as one of 15 favorite budget fashion bloggers on The Everygirl!  My jaw nearly dropped to the floor when I found out.  I am so honored and excited to be amongst so many fabulous bloggers.  Make sure you check it the list!

Spring Vacation Must-Haves

This post was created in partnership with Victoria's Secret and I have been compensated, however all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the first year in a long time that I've had actual "vacations" on the books - I usually plan a few short trips here and there but this year is different -- I'll be jetting off to both Miami and Hawaii (both are trips I can take absolutely no credit for planning for, but am so lucky and thankful to be a part of!)

I'm a planner, and find that I'm way less stressed when I prepare ahead of time for things so I've been thinking a lot about what I want to bring and what I need to be spring vacation ready.

First and foremost, I plan to ramp up my workout routine before my trips so cute workout gear is key.   I'm not naturally motivated to work out, so having something to look forward to is key for me.  Whether it's an after workout smoothie, or cute new gear, I need something to keep it exciting for me.

A good self tanner and moisturizer are also key.  I am so impressed with the Victoria's Secret self tanner.  It lasts all week long without having to reapply, and doesn't have that yucky self-tanner smell.   It has the tiniest bit of shimmer to it, making you look like you glow from within - I can't wait to put it on before the beach to see it in the sunshine!

I'm also wondering what I've been doing without a rollerball travel perfume in my life before now.  I have been taking it with me to work but I can just see it being the perfect thing to "freshen" up after a long day at the beach or pool if you don't have time to shower before dinner.

And last, but certainly not least is a cute swimsuit (or two!)  My girlfriends and I have been longtime fans of Victoria's Secret Swim because it's super flattering and they have the best color selections!  I love neons in the summer because it amplifies your tan (if you have one -- which I do not, but I am hoping to acquire!)

What are your summer must haves?

Style Icon

Top: boohoo c/o  |  Skirt: boohoo c/o  |  Earrings: Forever21 (old - obsessed with these similar splurges)  |  Heels: JustFab (similar)  |  Clutch: ASOS

I have many style icons, both from today's times and back in the day, and I love taking bits and pieces from them all to create my own look.  Being that it is #throwbackthursday, I figured I would talk about one of my favorite style icons and how I had her in mind when piecing together this look -- Grace Kelly.  I strive for conservative, classic looks with a bit of a modern twist.  Grace Kelly had the exquisitely polished outfits that were both structured and ladylike.

I love pencil skirts, but on me they aren't so ladylike because I lack the curves for them.  By adding a peplum top, I feel like there is the illusion that the curves are there.  (The print on the skirt helps as well!)  Grace was known to rock a good midi skirt, so I think I covered her there.  I am so drawn to black pieces lately, and am all about a black on black look.  I couldn't resist adding a peek of color with my earrings to spice things up and keep it fun for spring.

Do you guys think of your style icons when putting together outfits too?  Who is your favorite style icon?  Sound off below!
