Top: Free People  |  Jeans: TopShop  |   Heels: Zara  |  Bag: Louis Vuitton  |  Earrings: Gorjana

I don't normally spend a ton of money on tops, especially if they are on the trendy side.  I like to invest in bags and shoes, and you can read more about that here.  I broke the rules with this top, and I'm glad I did.  The cut is so unique and flattering, and I love the patterned trim.  I love that you can wear it with jeans and heels just as easily as cut off shorts and flip-flops.  I can justify the price more when I can envision myself wearing something multiple ways at multiple events.

My shoes are a recent Zara purchase, but for some reason I can't find them online.  Make sure to check in store if you are interested, because mine still had quite a few in this style last week.

And last but certainly not least is my new bag; the sweetest birthday present from the love of my life.  He actually picked it out all by himself even though I had never hinted toward wanting a bag or anything.  For some reason the presents that are a total surprise mean the most to me.  I'll never carry this and not think of how thoughtful he was to get this for me, when I would have been just as happy with dinner and a movie at home.

P.S. Make sure you check out Nordstrom's Half-Yearly sale...a lot of things are 40% off!  I'm currently picking out my favorites and there are too many to name off.

Dress: Nordstrom  |  Earrings: J.Crew  |  Heels: BCBGeneration (sold out love this affordable pair & this similar version)  |  Bag: Tory Burch (similar style - love it for summer!)  |  Bracelets: BaubleBar

There's something about the color coral that I can't resist.  It's such a happy color, and perfect for the summertime.  The second I saw this dress I knew I was getting it because it has so many things I love - coral color, tassels, and an off the shoulder silhouette.  The best part?  It's under $50 and can be worn so many ways - to the beach with flip flops or to brunch as I've styled it.

I hope you guys are having a great week so far!  I am so looking forward to the long weekend to catch up on some errands and just get some rest at home -- we don't have anything extraordinary planned.  Do you guys have any fun plans for the long weekend?

Pillow Refresh With Motif Pillows

It's official, I have an obsession with pillows.  Jesse has cut me off from adding any more pillows to our house.  There's nothing I love more than a plethora of pillows on the bed.  It provides such a cozy and luxurious feel that is unattainable with anything else.  Ever since I was younger I always had at least 4 decorative pillows in addition to my regular pillows, and not much has changed.  I am thrilled to team up with Motif Pillows to create a pillow refresh in our master bedroom, and hope you guys love the final look as much as I do!

I love to mix patterns and colors while still maintaining symmetry.  The key when mixing prints is to make sure that there is at least one color in common.  You also want to put large patterns next to smaller patterns rather than large on large or small on small (notice how small the pattern is on the middle pillow compared to the leopard and the geometric patterns).  I really wanted leopard print in this room because I think it looks gorgeous with the peacock blue headboard, and ties in the nightstands, so I couldn't resist the velvet leopard pillows from Motif Pillows.

I am beyond pleased with the quality of the pillows.  I can tell I'll have these cases for years to come, which is not always the case with pillow covers.  A lot of times pillow hoarders like myself end up with a lot of useless cases that will never be used again.  These covers are made with a thick, high-quality designer fabric and are sewn to perfection - unlike any pillow covers I've ever seen.

Even the dogs are fans, and that's what's really important in this household.  I'll leave the fact that they match the pillow covers perfectly up to fate.   I'm really hoping to find some unique mirrors to flank either side of the bed, and will definitely update you guys when I add those.  It's been tough finding the perfect size that is the right amount of masculine and feminine.

Make sure you check out Motif Pillows for more gorgeous pillow covers - you won't be disappointed!  I am really excited to partner up with them for a giveaway, so make sure you follow Motif Pillows and myself on instagram and stay tuned for a chance to win a pillow of your very own.

Happy Tuesday!  If you follow me on instagram you know I spent last weekend in Miami celebrating Danielle's bachelorette party.  It was so much fun and I was so sad to come home.  I did come back with a ton of memories and a nice little sunburn souvenir.

I bought these shorts with the intentions of wearing them in Miami, but didn't end up needing them.  I love that you can style them so many ways.  You can dress it up or down to fit almost any occasion.  One of the things I think about before I purchase something is "how many ways can I wear this?"  I try to envision each outfit and if I can mentally think of least 5 outfits including the potential item, it's a go.  That was the case with these shorts.

Casual in Chambray

Chambray Top: Forever21 (sold out - similar)  |  Jacket: J.Jill c/o  |  Jeans: Paige  |  Flats: Steve Madden  |  Headband: Forever21  |  Bag: Rebecca Minkoff  |  Sunglasses: Karen Walker  |  Necklace: A Midnight Wonderland c/o  |  Earrings: Tory Burch

I normally don't get very enthused about outerwear since it's not really needed where I live.  This jacket is certainly an exception, as I've worn it multiple days in a row now (which I rarely do!)  It's a really thin and soft material, making it perfect for Southern California weather.  Cute looks aside, it's waterproof - which has been crucial for me lately as we have been getting off and on rain.

If you follow me on instagram, you likely saw my proclamation of love for these flats.  If I'm not wearing them, they're in my bag at work so I can throw them on right when I get off.  They are the most comfortable flats I've owned and have been extremely durable so far.  (I am so rough on my flats!)

Speaking of instagram, make sure you are following along as I'll be in Miami this weekend for Danielle's bachelorette party!  With working full time and taking classes, it's much easier and quicker for me to share things there!

I hope you guy are having a great week!

Floral Blazer

Floral Blazer: River Island (50% off and only a few left!)  |  White Trousers: ASOS  |  Sunglasses: ZeroUV c/o  |  Bag: Rebecca Minkoff  |  Heels: Call It Spring c/o

My favorite way to keep things fun with my office attire is a loud printed blazer.  I keep everything else pretty neutral to balance it out.  This blazer from River Island is one of my all-time favorites.  Even though it's a crazy print, I find myself reaching for it all the time.  Because it has so many different colors built into it, it goes with so many outfits.

I recently snagged this Rebecca Minkoff bag at the ShopBop sale and I am so happy with it.  I love her bags because they are affordable and awesome quality.  I bought one of the Mini MAC bags over 3 years ago and it seems to get better and better with age.  This particular style stood out to me because it has the look of a Chanel Boy Bag, without the insane price tag.

What about you guys?  Yay or nay on loud floral blazers?
