Splurge or Save

Untitled #163

It's been a while since my last splurge or save post!  Let me know if you guys find these kinds of posts helpful.  Personally I love seeing a side by side comparison of items that are so similar with a huge price gap.  It just makes no sense to me to make an unnecessary splurge in a lot of cases!

I can't believe how similar the IRO and Steve Madden booties are, and I am thinking the leather on the Steve Madden booties look a lot shinier in the picture than they actually are.

What do you guys think, splurge or save?

Jewel Toned

Lasercut Blouse: SheInside  |  Skirt: Forever21  |  Clutch: Gigi New York c/o  |  Shoes: ShoeDazzle (love these similar burgundy pumps)  |  Necklace: Adorn by Sarah Lewis c/o  |  Gold Stackable Rings: Forever21  |  Druzy Ring: Eclectic Eccentricity c/o

First, thank you all so much for your sweet comments regarding my new job on my last post!  I feel so thankful that blogging has given me such a supportive network of many encouraging and inspiring individuals.  You guys make my day!

Speaking of inspiring, fall always inspires me to gravitate my wardrobe towards jewel toned colors.  For this outfit, I  meshed all of my favorite colors into one look.  I love how the colors look side by side.

I am one who does not always feel comfortable in tight clothing, and while I love the look of a pencil skirt, I am not always 100% comfortable in one (especially after an inevitably large lunch).  I loved this top because it's short enough that it still shows the shape of the skirt and has the pretty lasercut detailing on the bottom which allows for me to get away with not tucking it in.  Would you guys believe the top and skirt combined are under $25?  A nice bag really comes into play into finishing up this look, and the quality of this one can't be beat.  I wore it a lot last fall and still constantly reach for it.

Off The Grid

Blazer: SheInside  |  Camisole: Forever21  |  Cobalt Pants: Dorothy Perkins c/o (sold out - similar here)  |  Gold Stacking Rings: Forever21  |  Blue Druzy Ring: Eclectic Eccentricity c/o  |  Bag: Pour La Victoire  |  Shoes: Shoedazzle  |  Sunglasses: Prada

Lately I've been loving an almost all-neutral outfit with one pop of a color for the office.  These cobalt trousers are bright, fun, and appropriate for all seasons.

Since the pants are so bright I went with black and white accents.  I've got a thing for grid-print patterns and this blazer is a great affordable option at under $30.  The material did catch me off guard when it arrived - it's got a polyester feel.  It's definitely not a deal breaker for me but it's hard to see what the fabric is going to look and feel like online, so I thought I would let you guys know!  It reminds me of a light-weight scuba type material, which I can appreciate since sometimes scuba material can be thick and uncomfortable.

Speaking of work, if you follow me on instagram, you may have noticed I started a new job!  I am still working in the same industry (financial services), but was offered an amazing opportunity at another firm.  Starting a new job has been quite the life "refresh" - I've been feeling inspired in many aspects; even in the wardrobe department!  Thanks for bearing with me and the lapse in frequent blog posts while I've been getting adjusted - things will be back to normal soon!

Pencil Dress

Dress: Forever21 (sold out - similar style)  |  Shoes: Shoedazzle (similar)  |  Bag: Loeffler Randall  |  Rings: Forever21  |  Sunglasses: Prada

You can never have too many black dresses in your closet.  I love the layers of this midi dress because it makes it adds texture and interest to an otherwise simple dress.

I usually wear my Loeffler Randall mini rider bag with the long strap as a crossbody, but recently noticed the crossbody strap is removable, allowing me to wear it as a clutch as well!  I love bags that can be worn various ways - making it that much more worth the investment.

I finished the look with some color-blocked pointy toe pumps - which provide for a subtle statement.  I recently purchased quite a few shoes from Shoedazzle - there were a few promotions going on and that were too good of deals to pass up.

One of my New Year's resolutions this year was to find a workout that I enjoyed and actually stick to it.  To be frank, I do not enjoy being in a gym at all.  I hate most things about it and because of that, I would always find an excuse not to go.  I am also not very good at pushing myself when it comes to fitness, which is crucial if you want to see results.  In January I bought a Groupon to Pure Barre, thinking I would like it but would probably try other fitness places before committing.  After the first class I was totally hooked and have been going ever since.

When I first started classes I had no good-quality workout clothes.  I mostly wore old leggings and old sorority t-shirts.  It was fine, but I wasn't feeling good about myself when wearing them - I felt frumpy.  I've found that having nice workout gear gets you more excited about the workout, and you feel more confident when you're doing it.  It seems silly that clothing can have such an impact on your workout, but it really does for me!  Do you guys feel that way too?  This gear from Albion Fit makes me feel like a million bucks - not only is it adorable, but it's made of a a really nice material that's not going to pill after one wash.  The ruching on the side of the top makes it super flattering, and the leggings are so soft that I would probably wear them every day if I could.

You guys can get 15% off your entire purchase at Albion Fit with code: champagnelifestyle15

AND that's not all!  One winner will win a $50 gift card to get some gear of their own - and it's super easy.  Just follow myself (@hannahhagler) and Albion Fit (@albionfit) on instagram, and tag 2 friends on my Albion Fit instagram post to enter.  That's it!  Good luck!

Nordstrom Clearance Favorites

Holy Moly friends, Nordstrom is having a huge sale on their clearance (up to 40% off!) and there is way too much good stuff to handle.  I tried to narrow it down to my favorites for you all (key word: tried).  I'm really into pointed-toe shoes, jewel tones, girly silhouettes and structured jackets right now as you can see from my choices.

You guys know I don't believe in paying full price for a designer item.  If you're new here, the reason is right above you!  Most designer items will always go on sale before they sell out.  You just have to keep an eye on it, and plan the timing carefully.  Times like these are a good opportunity to get a good steal!

Do you guys have your eye on anything from the sale?  Let me know!
