Floral Skater Dress

asos closet floral dress shimmery floral dress collared dresspastel floral dress tea time dress floral pastel shimmer dress asos floral dress with collar
Dress: ASOS  |  Shoes: JustFab (similar navy ankle strap pumps)  |  Clutch: Sole Society (old - love this black clutch; similar nude version)

Skater dress silhouettes are by far my favorite.  I tend to look for that shape in a dress before anything else.  This particular dress stood out to me because I loved the contrast of a solid collar and sleeves to the printed dress.  It's hard to translate in photos, but the floral fabric has a really pretty shimmer to it.  It's ultra-feminine and makes me want to sit down for a cup of tea and finger sandwiches when I wear it.  If you are a dress lover, you will want to add this to your closet.  Best part? It's on sale!

Floral Tunic

asos river island floral tunic zerouv WOMENS DESIGNER ROUND OVERSIZE RETRO FASHION SUNGLASSES 8623 oversized floral tunic and white skinny jeans karen walker super duper style sunglasses alexander wang rocco in oyster retro modern fashion
Floral Tunic: River Island via ASOS (on major sale!)  |  White Skinny Jeans: Old - similar (also love these white trousers)  |  Heels: Shoedazzle (similar)  |  Bag: Alexander Wang  |  Earrings: Tory Burch  |  Sunglasses: ZeroUV c/o  (similar splurge version)

I have worn this floral tunic top at least once a week since getting it in the mail last month.  I knew I would either love it or hate it depending on the fit and I'm so glad it's the former.  I was in love with the retro floral print and muted colors and think it looks so pretty with a bold red lip.

I love the look of white trousers but to be honest, they aren't always the most flattering.  I think when worn with a tunic-type top like this one, white pants are much more appealing.

On a personal note, this weekend was an exciting one - I am a bridesmaid for the first time ever and we had our dress fitting/picking this weekend!  We ended the day with margaritas, chips and guac so I would say it was a complete success.

I hope you all have a beautiful Monday and thank you for reading!

Bedroom Updates with Rugs USA

By now you guys know I am a huge fan of Rugs USA.  I have purchased rugs from them before, collaborated with them, and I'm thrilled to collaborate with them again to show you guys updates with our master bedroom.

When we moved in this room was a light, mint green color which made it feel dark and dated.  The first thing I did was paint the walls Benjamin Moore's White Dove which is my absolute favorite white.  I cannot even tell you guys how many white paints I tried before settling on this one which sounds bizarre, but it's true.  All of the whites I tried were either too yellow or too blue.  I didn't want cream and I also didn't want to be blinded - I just wanted a classic white that didn't feel too cold.  This is a warm white without yellow undertones and I highly recommend.

Next step was our bed, which is a custom design from Mod Shop.  My mom helped us design it an it is honestly the bed of my dreams.  I am a huge fan of peacock blue (it was the wall color in our last bedroom) and J likes it too.  The headboard itself is pretty glam (although I steered away from nailhead trim to avoid it being too glam), so I liked the idea of a gender neutral color that was still bold.

I got the bedding from Amazon, and it's definitely a nice look for the price but will probably not last just through another year if I'm being honest.  The lamps are vintage and the lampshades are from Lamps Plus (I was obsessed with the gold on gold look).  If you are in need of a lampshade you should definitely check out their site.  I was very particular about wanting gold lampshades and searched high and low before finding them there - they have a ton of options.

We aren't quite done with the room - I want to add some architectural molding to the walls and possibly mirrors above the nightstands, but the room is feeling 90% more complete with our new rug addition. This is the Standard Shag Greek Flokati from Rugs USA in salt & pepper.  I wanted something soft on our feet, neutral colored, but also with some texture.  I love that the mixture of black and white give the rug some interest that a solid colored rug wouldn't otherwise do.  The best part?  The pups LOVE to lay on it which makes me a happy fur mama.

The rug is 70% off right now and if you're in the market I highly recommend it!  A few things to keep in mind; you will need a rug pad for this because there is no rubber bottom and it will slip (think a thick blanket type of rug).  Also, it is real wool so it will shed!  It works perfectly in our bedroom because it's not a super high traffic area but might not be the best for a spot where people walk a lot.  It really is an amazing rug for the price, and super high quality.

P.S. If you are in the LA area I've teamed up with a few other amazing bloggers to clean out our closets and our stuff will be on sale at TheStylist LA's sample dress sale this week!  Make sure you stop by and check it out!  I've got a ton of stuff starting at only $5 a pop!  Most of it is either too big or too small for me, hence why I'm selling it and some stuff is new with tags.

Mirrored Print Jumpsuit

ASOS Jumpsuit in Mirrored Print with Shoulder Pads
blue and orange jumpsuit classy striped jumpsuit asos striped jumpsuit striped and floral jumpsuit delicate gold ampersand necklace classy jumpsuit
Jumpsuit: ASOS  |  Heels: Forever21 (old - loving these nude heels)  |  Clutch: Michael Kors (old - similar envelope clutch)  |  Necklace: Carrie Grace Shop c/o (Use code: "2015" for $30 off or sign up for $16 a month)  |  Earrings: Tory Burch

I love vintage clothing but finding the treasures takes a lot of time and patience.  I was extremely drawn to this jumpsuit because it looked like something you might find thrifting.  There are built in shoulder pads which I love (they aren't over the top but they definitely give a structured look).  I also loved the cobalt & orange combo - it's a color combo that will work for January but also last me well into spring.

On a personal note, we had a very exciting life event happen this weekend!  J and I adopted a rescue dog named Archie.  He is around 4-5 years old and is the most amazing dog.  We are so in love.  (Zoey is happy to have a brother too!)  If you follow me on instagram, you probably already know this because I tend to announce everything first there!  I found him through MaeDay Rescue and couldn't be more thankful they rescued him from the shelter because he is the perfect addition to our family.  If you are considering getting a dog I strongly plead that you look into a rescue dog.  There are so many dogs without loving homes that are spending their days locked in a cold, lonely cage and all they need is love and care.  Archie was so nervous the first day we got him but we have spent the last 3 days giving him nonstop love and attention.  Watching him transform into a peppy, happy, loving dog has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever experienced.  I'm sure you guys will see more of him on this little old blog!

asos gold wrap dress gold dress holiday party gold wrap dress with gold belt gold and maroon color combo black bow heels gold goddess style dress
Dress: ASOS  |  Belt: Zara (old - love this simple gold belt)  |  Clutch: Gigi New York c/o  |  Shoes: Shoedazzle (similar that I LOVE) |  Earrings: Old Navy (not online - love these)

This past weekend I attended a fun event to watch the Golden Globes and I loved having an excuse to pull out this fun little gold party dress.  I wore this dress to a small Christmas party J and I hosted, so I was happy to get use out of it twice in such a short amount of time!  Usually when I buy dresses I wear them for one occasion and don't bust them out again for years.  (Such an unpractical thing to do.)  Even though this dress is gold and seems like it would be loud, I think pairing it with a different lip color and accessories reinvents the dress and look.  I think I may have found my new LBD in this gold number!

Did you guys watch the Golden Globes?  Share your favorite part below if you did!

Navy Bow Tie Dress

navybow3 navybow5 navybow2 navybow1 navybow6 navybow4
Dress: Greylin (similar here, here & here)  |  Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim  |  Tights: Target  |  Watch: Daniel Wellington c/o (last chance to get 15% off with code holiday-hannahhagler)  |  Earrings: Similar  |  Heels: Shoedazzle (love these - on major sale!

It's safe to say I'm a huge fan of any outfit or accessory that has a bow.  This dress was a lucky find at a little boutique in Alabama when we were there for Thanksgiving.  It was on major sale too - I'm so bummed I can't find it online anywhere but I do have some of my favorite bow-tie neck dresses below.  I love black & blue together (I'm not one to keep them separate), and I especially love green and blue together so I paired them all together in a color-block sort of way with this outfit.

As far as a life update goes, if you follow me on instagram you might have seen I passed a test over the weekend for a license that I needed for work.  I have one more test later this year and that should be the last one for awhile.  It is always such a good feeling to have something checked off your "to-do" list - especially something as time-consuming as studying for a test!

I hope you guys are having a good week so far!
