I love a good shirt dress for the pure reason it looks so put together but makes for such a comfortable outfit.  This shirt dress in particular has a separate tie, that you can either tie around your neck as a bow tie or around your waist as a belt.  I love how versatile it is.

This past week was a doozy for me, and if you follow me on instagram you saw that J’s sister and I went to the shelter to rescue a dog that was on death row.  I had called the shelter to see how much time he had left and they said he had until the next morning.  I could sense there was something special about him so we teamed up with MaeDay Rescue to get him out of there.  After we got home with him from the shelter he transformed in a few hours from a terrified, shy dog hiding in the corner of the crate to a complete cuddle monster who wouldn’t leave my side.

We named him Owen and he’s already had interested people and is currently on a test run with them.  I know he is such a special dog that will be a dream dog with time and love and I can’t wait for him to be settled in his forever home.

Fostering is such a bittersweet experience, as it’s sad to say goodbye but is so worth the temporary pain when you know they’ve found the perfect home and you get to see pictures of them living the good life.
