I don’t normally spend a ton of money on tops, especially if they are on the trendy side. I like to invest in bags and shoes, and you can read more about that here. I broke the rules with this top, and I’m glad I did. The cut is so unique and flattering, and I love the patterned trim. I love that you can wear it with jeans and heels just as easily as cut off shorts and flip-flops. I can justify the price more when I can envision myself wearing something multiple ways at multiple events.
My shoes are a recent Zara purchase, but for some reason I can’t find them online. Make sure to check in store if you are interested, because mine still had quite a few in this style last week.
And last but certainly not least is my new bag; the sweetest birthday present from the love of my life. He actually picked it out all by himself even though I had never hinted toward wanting a bag or anything. For some reason the presents that are a total surprise mean the most to me. I’ll never carry this and not think of how thoughtful he was to get this for me, when I would have been just as happy with dinner and a movie at home.
