I love the look of a pleated leather midi skirt but even so, I’m not sure how long they are going to be in style for. I was so excited to see Forever21 had an under $30 version so I could play around with the trend without committing to an investment piece. I paired it with this cute printed peter-pan collar top, which has a similar print and texture to a tie. Even though it’s printed and a bit noisy, I think it’s perfect for the office. It’s cropped so it’s the perfect top to be paired with something high-waisted.

Oooh I love the skirt! I have a pleated leather mini skirt that I bought a few years ago and it's honestly my most worn item of clothing. I'll have to track down the midi version!

The blouse and skirt combo suit you so wonderfully I was surprised to see that they were from Forever 21. I love the pleated leather skirt– I think you did the right thing though by getting a cheaper version rather than a $300 one from actual leather. I feel as if skirt lengths change so often now. What's in one season is out the next.
