Woo hoo!  It’s week 2 of the One Room Challenge and I feel like we’re making progress!  If you missed the first week, check it out here.

Our office functions part time as a guest bedroom, so we needed something that would be super comfortable when visitors came but also didn’t take up a lot of floor space.  We decided on the IKEA Brimnes daybed because it folds out into a king size bed, has two large drawers for storage, and because it is white with clean lines, it is super crisp looking.  We actually had the queen size Brimnes in our apartment and loved the storage it gave us.

I’ve been kind of playing around with the nightstand – I already had that lamp and that small table, but I don’t know if I want it there permanently.

I ended up getting the bjornloka duvet cover from IKEA because I want the daybed to look as couch-like as possible during the day, and this duvet offered simplicity and a modern feel. 

I was shocked to find the two throw pillows at Target.  They don’t scream “Target pillows” in my opinion.  I can’t find the small one linked online, so be sure to check your local target, but you can find the square one (it was $19.99).  I’m still on the hunt for a few more throw pillows.
