Tis the season…

Monday was not a good day. Sunday night I had just gotten back from the city of sin…Las Vegas! I had a ton of fun celebrating the 21st birthday of my “little sis” in Vegas, but needless to say my immune system did NOT have fun. I wasn’t feeling the best before I left and the trip just made things worse. I’m the kind of person who hates to take a day off work so when Monday rolled around I packed my bag with the necessities and pushed through the day. I do think though that next time I’ll pack a face mask just in case, you never know I may be spreading the germs around! This is what I felt like:

And yes…I did look that adorable…

Every single time I feel sick or feel it creeping up I take about 3-5 of these puppies:

And that is exactly what I did. 3 to 5 may be extreme, but honestly it gets the job done. I was told once to take 10 in one serving!!! It would be way too sour that way, so 5 usually does the trick. You can get Emergen-c at your local grocery store for about $8.99-$13.99…I’ve found Wal-Mart is the cheapest. Often times though, your grocery store will provide a comparable product under their brand name. It is the same thing just cheaper…I don’t see how different you can get with Vitamin C supplements.

Another necessity is a Refresh Tea from Starbuck’s. I like to get a refresh tea latte with soy and a package of honey, but just the plain old tea will do!

Definitely get the honey if it’s your throat that’s ailing. It puts a nice coating over it and helps ease the soreness.

Once I get home I HAVE to sleep. I cannot stress it enough…sleep is the ultimate sickness-curer. Put facebook on hold, blogging (wahhh :(), television, and anything else that may distract you and hit the SHEETS for crying out loud! Not in that way though…get your mind out of the gutter.

There I am in my luxurious comfy bed with down filled comforters and 100% silk sheets…

I lie I lie that’s not me…I wish it was though that bed looks uber comf.

Next you need a huge comfy sweater, ie: this beauty from Forever 21.

Comfy Sweater – $29.80

And finally you MUST keep your feet warm especially if you had the chills like I did…if the feet and head are warm, chances are likely your whole body will warm up with it.

I LOVE these slippers from Forever21…that low PRICE anyone?!?

Geo Knitted Slippers – $6.80

And these are twice the price but I think they’d get the job done…

Faux Fur Slippers – $12.80

So there you have it, my sickness remedies in a nutshell. I did all of the above (except wear the cute slippers because I don’t own them grrr) and I repeated on Tuesday and today I feel like I could climb mountains and swim the length of the ocean! Okay maybe not THAT good but I’m well on my way to recovery!

What are your sickness remedies? Have any of you been bit by the “cold” yet?

xoxo,

Hannah

Perfect under-the-weather remedies! We also drink this crazy concoction of garlic/vitamins/digustingness that supposedly kills any cold. Good times:-) xoxo

Love your tips, I haven't been sick for awhile. A refresh tea sounds good though.
